What is a backup?

This may sound a simple question. A backup is a copy of data that is securely kept away from the master in case of data loss.

If you are backing up to a removable drive, and that is the only copy, that isn't a backup. If you copy to a different drive for backups, and that drive is in the same room as the master, you aren't protected from fire or burglary.

WCS can provide cost effective solutions to protect your data from fire or theft. Please contact us for details.
